The Senate has unanimously passed a resolution apologizing for slavery and racial segregation in the U.S. and sent the measure to the House.
Something about that just seemed rather silly. And then this made it obvious :
The resolution passed Thursday includes a disclaimer saying that nothing in it supports or authorizes reparations by the United States.Oh, you mean the apology was all a stunt. That makes sense. Apologize away, so long as it doesn't cost anything.
